Pin Me!
Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 5:58AM Guess what? Our Pinterest challenge has been extened until March 31st!
If you're like me, you spend every moment that baby is sleeping looking at Pinterest. Facebook is non-existent. Not really, but I spend far less time perusing status updates than I do looking for my next craft project, planing my dream house, and getting nowhere pinning ideas for a first birthday party. In the spirit of pinning, we have a challenge for our followers. It's Club MomMe's first Pinterest challenge!
Task: Create a board for baby's first birthday party and submit the link to your board by posting a blog comment below. You must provide a valid link to your Pinterest board or your entry will be disqualified! All entries are due by midnight on February 28th. We will announce our top five picks on March 17th and let Club MomMe followers vote for their favorite on our Facebook page! The winner will receive one free ticket to a future Club MomMe event or a gift bag from a Club MomMe event.
A few helpful design tips: No character themes please. We won't pick them as finalists because we are looking forward to having a Dora, Cars, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Elmo free party while we still can. Baby's first birthday party will be family only and during our family vacation in Florida this summer. The design can incorporate an outfit for baby to wear. Check out Rock n' Smock'em on Facebook for inspiration (and Club MomMe's boards on Pinterest).

That was fun to do! My daughter had an over-the top 1st birthday 5 years ago, with 40 people, but our poor second child was lucky we got the grandparents together for him! If I had planned something more elaborate, would have done those ideas. :)
Perfect for a birthday party on the Florida beaches!
